I am considering buying the Ransom Rest windage base, but would like advice from shooters who own the base.  Would you buy it again?
Thanks

Not required BUT after using one I'd never be without one.

Full disclosure: I seldom use a RR anymore, just sandbags & I replace my optic with a 1-4X scope.

I agree, with both statements.

I think a windage bases is useful as it allows you to aim your pistol especially if your RR is attached to a real solid base like mine.  Also depends on how handy you are?  This one I build for around $40 with all the wood and hardware.lee rest - Ransom Rest Windage Base Img_1819

I did not do this, but one guy who was involved told me that the block goes 4' into the ground....  And yes, poured concrete.
