Novak to rail adapter Empty Novak to rail adapter

Maybe someone can point me to a place that sells these. They definitely exist in this universe, just very hard to find. CZ USA used to sell them when merged with Dan Wesson, I don't think they do any more. Looking specifically for Novak to rail, as demonstrated in first pic. Second pic is of rail on eBay (available now) for regular 1911 mount to rail.
I have Burris's Novak to Docter adapter with Vortex Venom on my gun for a while and pondering replacing with Ultradot Micro.

Did you check the CZ Custom Shop site? Not sure about the cut, but this looks a lot like what you describe.

Checked the site, CZ cuts are all different from Novak. There is a 1911 section that has adapter to Bomar, but no Novak.

The major issue with these dovetail replacement mounts is that they really do not give adequate support during recoil.  I went with a Rock River rail and cut it off at the back of the ejection port for this gun.

I had the gunsmith install using 8-40 screws.  You can buy a “Novak” filler.

If you DO decide you just have to have just a base and a dovetail, then I STRONGLY suggest that you get a dovetail filler then drill and tap it (6-40 or 6-48) with two holes and then drill and counterbore pic rail section that has a conformal radius.  The dovetail filler is used to “clamp” the base to the top of the gun.  Even then it won’t be the most secure system.

I was thinking just that. I did not know there is a dovetail filler for the rear, only for the front? Though I am not thrilled holding on 2 screws with that heavy of a load. Of course I can go full rail and cut to size, but I was hoping not having to molest the slide, especially since dove is already cut into it and these adapters existed at some point.

Not sold directly, but Burris makes a reflex mount that has a loose filler.  You’ll need to use a a “setscrew” to force the filler portion up into the dovetail.  A dollop of “Red” locktite to hold it and should be fine.

Don’t overlook the Burris Fastfire3 as a red dot.  While tube dots are all the rage, I’ve never found them to be head and shoulders better.  They shoot just fine and there are techniques to recenter the dot quickly.

I literally have that exact adapter with Venom right now. I thought there is something else on the market.
Reflex is good, nothing wrong with that, but I like tubes a bit more.

Found this Novak to rail adapter, looks like currently the only one in existence. At first glance it is Novak, but as all things S&W they had to make it poprietary.

https://www.theshootersbox.com/Optic-Mount-For-SW-MP-Pistols--No-Pistol-Mod-Required_p_35368.html

Reading on the net, the dimensions are:
S&W sights:
rear 74° x .435"

Most everyone else' sights:
rear 65° x .495"

Does anyone have enough knowledge to confirm? If I am reading it right it looks like there is more material than standard, so removing excess and adjusting angle would be the solution? Anyone up to this job?
