CMP Reverses Course

At the SHOT Show this year I had a meeting with CMP representatives, along with my bosses.  CMP advised that they are now planning on installing electronic targets for High Power Rifle ONLY, and those aren't likely to be operational until 2018.  Meanwhile, they are repairing the old turning target system for Pistol to help alleviate the difficulties that we have been having.

Apparently they must have been concerned that the members of this forum, which they monitor, voted 2-1 to move away from Camp Perry if electronic targets were installed.

So for the foreseeable future, it appears that we will remain at Camp Perry and be using turning targets.

What's the status of the drainage system that was being installed at Perry?

Very happy that they are fixing the turning targets.  Also read somewhere they were working on drainage as well.

Last year half of a new drainage system was installed. It is supposed to be completed before the Nationals this year. I haven't heard anything yet but have a meeting at Camp Perry in April so I should learn something then.
