Need frame for new conversion

Where can one get a 1911 frame without having to wait several weeks.  Just got a ne conversion and it needs a permanent home.  Thanks gents

Some people buy a foster/Caspian frame and build up their own frame. The biggest challenge will be getting a quality feeling trigger if you do it yourself. If you have a wad gun already with a 19 or 20 pound hammer spring you could get away with shooting both 45 and 22 on one frame until you get a dedicated frame built up - either your own work or by a professional. Other than that - not sure. A cheap frame isn’t worth the time and headache (rock island or the likes). My dedicated frame used to be a range Officer.

Yea, that may be the smart move. I’d need a 2 piece spring guide because it’s a pain to switch..well a small pain.  My RO has a 19 lb hammer spring and the conversion works like a charm on it

Pick up a 2 piece spring guide and give it a try!
Your right, it is quicker, easier, with less flying pieces..
The one piece spring guides work also, if, they have the takedown hole in them.

I'd get another Range Officer, set the 45 top aside, install a KC hammer-sear, and 18#main and Colt sear springs.

Fusion makes good quality parts. You’ll need a BE Smith to do your trigger for the conversion.

I don't remember fusion frames being finished. Looks like I could be wrong in this case. However if I was looking I would grab this SA frame. Same price

If you still need a dedicated lower frame i am finishing one up now. Will be ready for sale next month. Essex frame, egw, C+s parts throughout no mim junk, beautifully blended and finished in graphite black. I will formally post it up later.
