Model 17 ejection issues
Hi
I bought this model 41 about six months ago and had all kinds of ejection and extraction problems. Which I have posted about on this sight. I have replaced the extractor, ejector and tried different recoil springs. Made sure nothing is rubbing, basically made the gun spotless and very smooth. Never fixed the problem. Then I started oiling the bullets and the gun worked perfect. Throughout the summer I dropped the oiling and just shot them right out of the box. I shot a case this summer without a hitch. Recently I have noticed some of the holes in the target not so round and a friend suggested the bullets are starting to tumble you need to clean the barrel. Yesterday I cleaned the barrel and it was like turning back the clock. Now I have stovepipes to the left and to the right same as before. Sometimes the shell doesn't come out of the chamber at all sometimes it comes halfway out.
I suspect if I go back to oiling the bullets again I can shoot but that is not a fix. I really think this has something to do with the chamber. Although I have no idea what. Basically if I let the gun get filthy it works like a charm, clean it and you can't shoot it !
Any thoughts on this problem greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Tom

What ammo are you using. Mine runs flawlessly on CCI sv. I’ve tried a few others and they don’t work.
