Does anyone know who is currently selling a magnetic strip for a gun box? I tried a knife or tool strip, but they are too thick. Thanks

Magnetic strip for gun box Empty Great shooting box magnet

I found the strip magnet with adhesive to be of poor quality (would not hold mags when lid shut), so I went to these. Use one per mag or tool; they will hold no matter what. Great shooting box magnet. Just screw or glue them to lid. Cheers, dipnet

Try Harbor Freight. They have a strip for about $4.00 or free; check their ads.

Thanks, Dipnet. Those are way better than the round ceramic ones I found at Home Depot.

I will second the idea of using a neodymium magnet. They tend to be brittle metal though, so don't go thinner than 1/8" or so. Some of the super sticky 3M double sided tape on the back works well for mounting them. I use these for sticking things to the inside wall of one of my safes. Very, very secure.

For my pistol box I was disappointed with the strip magnets adhesive, 3M double sided tape to the rescue again. I wish the magnet was stronger. Still trying to decide if I want to go to the trouble of replacing it with a bunch of little neodymiums ...

This is the one I use Magnetic Strip, it will hold 22 to 45 magazines without them falling off when closing the case.   Great quality, worth the price, and does not scratch the magazines
