Kart Barrel Chamber Slop
With a new piece of Starline brass is it normal to have significant slop at the case head? The mouth is well supported, the head not so much. Side to side movement of about .100" total is what I am seeing in mine. Unknown round count on a pistol built in 1992.

An actual measurement of the chamber might help.
I hope you mean .010", which would still be huge.

Re: Kart Barrel Chamber Slop
Karts typically run 0.902-0.905ish after being fit. Starline is 0.890ish if memory serves me correctly. So yes there is play. Bullet shoulder typically takes up some of the tolerance. In some cases barrel headspace is greater than 0.905 before finish reaming the chamber. Kart does a poor job of short chambering their barrels.

Re: Kart Barrel Chamber Slop
Just measured some new brass .100" above the head at .470" with just fired cases at the same point at .471". Obviously there is no issue in my mind.
Thanks for the replies.
