Anyone ever shoot....casting question
Anyone ever shoot th H&G 130? In bevel base? How do you think the B.B. compares to the plain base? Seems like a popular choice back in the day. 185 gr bullet I believe.

Lotsa people. The H&G 130 is also known as the “button” bullet from Missouri Bullet company. They are a classic 185 grain bullet kinda sorta duplicate of the factory 185 JSWC but in cast form. It’s been around for years. SAECO makes a mold for it the plain Base is #130 and the Bevel Base is #131. Both are good bullets. Bevel bases were developed for volume reloaders as the bullets are easier to insert in cases.

Been in Use for decades....
That said, in my experience, they need to go fast if used at 50 yds.
I had 4.2 of BE
BB just solves a problem you didn't know you had.

All I shot in the 70s and 80 s was the 130 using Saeco molds..

Shot 130s for years, only thing I did like about them was the ragged holes they cut... I have two 4 cavity matched H&G molds for sale if anyone is interested...

The Magnus #801 is a slightly modified H&G 130.
