How is this possible Empty How is this possible

Gents, as mentioned in my participation here as well as on another forum I mentioned that my Les Bear P II/1.5 hangs up on the half cock notch when slow fired.

Someone asked me here if the over travel screw was properly adjusted and if memory serves I have to say yes as I had gone through this procedure quite awhile ago.

https://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?t=419887

The darn thing has become a safe queen as I kinda forgot about it and went on to other things before I retired from work so my memory of it has dimmed somewhat.

HA!!!!!! NEWS FLASH NEWS FLASH !!!!!

Even though I had gone through the above I remembered today that the hammer only hung up with a round in the chamber and a mag in the well.

I could dry fire the weapon either by racking the slide or pulling the hammer back and it would function normally until loaded with a mag inserted and a round in the chamber then the %$$$##@&^* would start.

opinions/suggestions ?

Magazine could be making contact with the disconnector. It will cause problems. Check if disconnector is protruding into magazine well.

What Jon said. Grind off lower square corner of disconnector to eliminate possible interference with magazine. Also, make sure center leaf of sear spring has enough pressure to make disconnector move fully all time.

Les Baer repairs his guns that he has built, but a warning here, if anyone has messed with the gun he won't touch it. You may want to contact Baer before you try anything
Just a opinion
