SIG P226 X-FIVE variations.
I wonder if there are any SIg P226 X-Five owners here who can explain to me different variations of this gun.
I mainly would like to know the difference between a P226 Sport X-Five and P226 X-Five LEVEL I with adjustable trigger.
Is anyone still importing German made X-Five?

Jesus those things make custom pistols look cheap and you know a custom bullseye pistol will shoot tighter. Guess you gotta pay for the bling.

X5/X6 series guns are in essence custom guns, Zane. They are hand tuned by SIG's Master Shop, and designed for different type of precision shooting. BE guns would have very little use in i.e. PPC match when one needs to shoot a lot of rounds very quickly at variable distances and moving (actually running, kneeling, dropping down to prone, alternating shooting arms, etc.) at the same time. And on top of it ammunition is often +P or +P+ rated, so it can get to the target quicker. Truth be told there is no need to hit bullseye with every shot, and one has as many shots one wants until target is cleared, but that takes time, so clearing target in one-two shots, and moving to the next target is what these guns provide for. In order to mitigate recoil these guns have hefty weight even without 21+ rounds magazines, which makes them unusable for Bulls Eye competition. However, you can take my word, - they worth every penny.

This is by no means argumentative. I've owned 3 X-Five pistols; an L1, standard X5 (worked over a little by Bruce Gray), and a Tactical. None of them were very accurate. Great triggers, love the weight, nice sights, but aren't tack drivers.
