Velocity range for bullseye .45 competition ammo
What is the velocity range that I should be looking for in .45 185gr SWC or JHP ammo?

Maybe about 770-775 FPS. Federal GMM 185 gr FJSWC is about 775 FPS.

I’ve been using 3.5 grains of Bullseye and a 200 grain LSWC. It’s not your same bullet choice but it might give you an idea of where to be. That load barely cracks 700 FPS out of my gun. I also have done well with the same bullet and 4.0 grains of Bullseye though I don’t know the velocity of that load. I imagine it’s 750 FPS give or take ... or in the neighborhood.
