Winchester wadcutter 38 bulk component bullet
I picked up some from an estate.
They have a big rear end, like the Remingtons (.362) do but they are clean and bright.
When were they discontinued?
I hadn't heard much of anything about them in the past. Any experience here?
Thanks

Greetings,
I suspect they were discontinued 10+ years ago.
My friend and I bought several cases of R-P and W-W from the local gun shop.
Finally shot up all the W-W.
I believe W-W discontinued the excellent .4515" 185 grain FMCWC bullet about the same time.
The W-W we bought had a coating resembling candle wax. They loaded cleanly and shot without leading. Accuracy was good; but, R-P did a bit better.
Congratulations on a good find!!!
Cheers,
Dave

Yep I still have some of the WW 148s and they have a wax coating.. If you are concerned then coat them with 45-45-10 and it will be fine
