Ultradot 25 or Ultradot Four 25 ?
New member - first post and just started Bullseye shooting with a new Ruger MrkIII 512 Stainless Target .22LR. Older eyes require red dot sighting help thus my research choice is down to the two above Red Dot sights from Ultradot : I will be shooting 85% of the time indoors (gallery course , 50 ft. , B-2 & B-3 targets ) and 15% of the time shooting outdoors participating in 25 yrd and possibly 50 yrd pistol bullseye .
There are two schools of thought regarding the above Ultradots :
1 . "I have tried all the Ultradots for bullseye pistol - I always come back to the Ultradot 25 with 4MOA as the best choice for bullseye pistol".
2 . "With the Ultradot 25 Four you can lesson your wobble by going to a larger 8MOA or even 12MOA and still not have the red dot size exceed the area of the black circle on the target ...more 10's shot this way".
Both schools of thought (above) are compelling - which Ultradot would you recommend and why ?

Number 2. Plus the bigger dot is easier to focus on if you look at the dot, or easier to track dimmed if you look at the target

Re: Ultradot 25 or Ultradot Four 25 ?
I just use the 1" standard UD. Small window to keep all of the distractions out of the window, lighter weight to keep the wobble down because the gun is too heavy. Just my opinion
I had the 30mm Matchdot, tried all the other settings and dot sizes and found that I just made the dot the same size as a 1"UD has anyway, so why hold all that extra weight up there?---plus the 1"UD is so much cheaper!

try www.larrysguns.com
They almost always have all UD items in stock, at great prices, and they support our sport.

Get the UD4-Dot. That way you still have all your choices available.
