Whats your .32 S&W Long load using H&N .314 wadcutters or bumped Speer clones...
I've finally gotten my GSP up and running. Did some 50 yard testing this last weekend, all 10 shot groups, sand bagged not a RR, red dot only. On my GSP 22 upper I had several groups from 2" - 2.25". I consider that great with a red dot and bags only. That demonstrates my ability to group off bags with the pistol. A base line if you will.
My .32 (stock GSP barrel) on the other hand did much worse, best group was 3.625", had one 3.8" but then it went to 4-6" groups. I have the Larry Blackmon swaging setup that converts Speer Plinkers into H&N .314 clones. My load is 1.70 Bullseye, seated slightly below flush with a .325" crimp on R-P brass with CCI primers. Its chronographing at 705-730.
I'd love to hear what you guys have had success with to give me some loads to test out. Thanks in advance.
The previous weekend I did some 50' off hand shooting and it seemed to perform well but that's just 50 feet. I plan to do some sand bag tests at 25 yards to see what it will do. It would be great if I could get this shooting at 50 yards.

GSP is slow twist as well as oversized. Go faster.
2.2 of 231 showed no pressure sign nor the crescent at the base where it is un supported. Work up to it from 1.9
All that said, my long line load is Hornady swc 90 gr seated flush over 1.9-231. Folks at long lake have seen me turning in 97s at 50 yards.
This is a max load, and these bullets are out of production sorry.
Can't say about BE in the 32. Doc Young used N 320. I bought his reloads. Shot very well...need to look up what theyvwere in my journal. Can't get those anymore either. Bummer

Bruce, your results with the SWC are interesting. I tried loading some 62 gr cast SWCs in the 32 long brass (the ones I load for ACP), and the results were as poor as anything I have ever shot. I didn’t shoot very many though...
I remember somewhere an older thread on another forum re: Hornady 90 gr. ones, didn’t recall anyone getting as good as results as you though. Too bad they are NA.

I can chime in a little here.
I did some "sand bag" testing at a range on Saturday. My 50 yard results were not good but I did have someone rapid firing a .308 AR about four feet from my head. Made concentration difficult to say the least.
However I tried a more quieter part of the range at the 25 yard line, and slow fire, one handed without "sand bags" or AR got a decent 98 with on called flier. This is not sand bag testing but trying to zero in the red dot for this load. For 50 yards I will just take 5 clicks up .
My load is 1.6 gr 231 with Zanes bumped speers and fiocchi multiple fired brass. My bullets are seated considerably below the end of the case with the Dillon crimp.
My reloads:
Diameter of case at bullet .3360
Diameter at crimp .3280 probably too much
Diameter of case below bullet .3340
Bullet is set .0095 below case mouth at rim - difficult to measure
Fiocchi factory
Diameter of case at bullet .3340
Diameter at crimp .3260
Diameter of case below bullet .3335
Bullet is set just below case mouth - can't measure accurate with tools I have
Sellier and Bellot factory
Diameter of case at bullet .3345
Diameter at crimp .3245
Diameter of case below bullet .3340
Bullet is set with nose above rim and outside edge just below rim.
All of these loads functioned well in my Benelli with light recoil
My observations - hopefully will be of some use to all.
David

In what gun and barrel please?
Dave, what size gauge pin did you select or just go with the biggest that starts in?
Thanks

My GSP does not have a factory barrel, but I use mixed Lapua brass. Loading for my Pardini and Benelli with similar barrel specs to the GSP, I size to .334 with a +2 Lee sizing die in a Dillon 550, and crimp lightly. I use the stepped powder thru die from PhotoEscape, his largest for 32 at 1.65. Im currently using 1.65 gr 310, was using 1.7 of WST.

Greetings Bruce,
I use a pin that just slips into the case easily.
I want to measure the uniformity of the wall thickness and where the web taper begins.
For "serious" loading, I size the case to match the bullet diameter.
Cheers,
Dave

Right now I am using 1.6 grains of WST in a factory barreled Benelli MP95. I was using Titegroup, but once I tried WST, there's no turning back. WST is so much cleaner, and it may be just me, but WST is a lesser recoil, as in more of a push where Titegroup is more of a snap.
