Brass catcher question Empty Brass catcher question

Post by lablover 3/18/2019, 7:24 am

I’m looking to get the cmm brass catcher but am unsure on what extension length to get.  I’m a pretty tall guy at 6’3” and they say 16” is good for average size folks .  Would I better served with the 20” model?

Thanks
Joe

Get the tall one, you will not regret it. Better to have too much extension than not enough. 6' 3" is not average.

Go 20, I’m 6-0 and at Perry had to use a 3” extension

Perry is especially challenging as the benches are so low. I am 6'6" and used everything the 20 inch tube would give me.

He meant that 6'3" is short for our NW team.  Basketball   Weber1b is right though, I'm 6'4" and the 20" works out well for me with all bench heights.

I have the standard 16", and went back and bought a 12" to work better with a pachmayr box - the 16" would make the net stick up 4" above the box when stored with their gun box bracket.

But, the 12 is too short most of the time.  I may order a 20 also.

I think I have the 16" stem and have over extended it a few times.  (6'2") .Have thought about using a 4-6" extension to go between the base and the post, haven't got around to it yet.
