Aguila SuperExtra RANSOM TEST
https://www.targetsportsusa.com/aguila-super-extra-22-long-rifle-standard-velocity-ammo-40-grain-lead-round-nose-1b222332-p-3435.aspx
I BOUGHT A COUPLE OF CASES OF THIS LAST FALL WHEN THEY WERE OUT OF CCI SV. I FIGURED HOW BAD COULD IT BE. I'VE USED AGULILA FROM WHEN THE CMP SOLD IT. IT FUNCTIONED FINE THAN. SO ON A WHIM I TOOK IT AND SEVERAL OTHERS OUT TO THE RANGE ON TUESDAY AND CHUCKED THE 208 INTO THE RANSOM REST. AT 50 YDS, IT GROUPED 1". CCI SV GROUPED 1 5/16". OF MY AVAILABLE .22 AMMO I TESTED. THE AGUILA WAS 3RD OVERALL. BEHIND OPS AND RWS TARGET RIFLE.
THE LISTED VELOCITY IS 1130FPS. A LITTLE HIGHER THAN NORMAL SV. BUT A VERY GOOD DEAL AT $179.90 DELIVERED.

I bought some last year thinking i could use it in a High Standard.
But then i saw its higher velocity then CCI standard. So i didn't.

I tried some as well in my marvel and HS, but although it worked well, I wasn't wild about the higher velocity.

1.4" at 50 yards in my 208 last time I Random Rested it. I was pleasantly surprised.
I think what you'll find with ammo at this price point is that there will be more lot-to-lot variability, and some FTFs and WTFs in each case, maybe in each brick.

Re: Aguila SuperExtra RANSOM TEST
I had a friend of mine give me a brick to try. I did not bench test it but it shoots well and functions fine. I have only one box left and so far no malfunctions of any type out of a brick. I know that is not a large sample but works in my firearms.

Re: Aguila SuperExtra RANSOM TEST
It was about 1.5” in 3 Nelson barrels I tested. Same lot of Aguila so like John mentioned it may have been due to variability.

Re: Aguila SuperExtra RANSOM TEST
My only experience with the Aguila is that it won't run my Model 41, but it seems to be fine in my eurotrash guns.
As to the 41, I think it is sticking or not getting picked up by the extractor- CCI doesn't have this problem, and why I keep a couple of cases in the shootin' shack to keep it fed.

Re: Aguila SuperExtra RANSOM TEST
I've bought a couple of cases of this from Targetsports.
Works fine.
No problems.
Running it through a CZ 455 and a SW 422 as well as a Browning SA22.
It has in no way been erratic .
Haven't taken it out to 100yds with the rifles yet though.
25 and 50 yard only.
Glad to have RR evidence that I'm not nuts.
At my range folks give Aguila props for producing a solid product.
On the internet you would think it was junk.
I bench rested a few hundred rounds this last week.
It ran well , grouped well when I cooperated .
Certainly a good practice ammo.
Don't know if I will ever pay the price of Lapua.

Re: Aguila SuperExtra RANSOM TEST
Aquila is under powered in my 41, as well. I just bought GECO for bolt action rifles (1083 fps) and my 41 likes it a lot. It is very accurate. I got it for $1.99/box from Vizards.
