Revolver Time......
My summer league shoots a weekly double national match this time of year and I am thinking it might be Revolver Time..... Shoot one match rimfire and one match centerfire. Time to go old school and break out something else from the safe . What do you all think?

That looks like a 586 on top. Already drilled and tapped. If the trigger is good then slap a dot on it and go for it. But, if your using steel sights the bottom revolver would be my pick.

I'm thnkin the lower one may be a 17, based on my loose interpretation of the original post.
In any case it looks like a good time to me.

I have dot guns but 95% of the time I shoot irons. If I ever leg out I will make the transition to dots full time.
I find revolvers to be entirely underappreciated. I loaned a 686 to one of the USMC teams' best pistol shooters at a recent DR match who couldn't stop saying how fun he had. So yeah, come out and shoot them, we always need more on the DR line.

I love shooting revolvers and irons. I think the only points I give up is in rapid fire. I did recently shoot 280 with my 14 though.
