Does anyone have any experience with Rink grips installed on a 1911?

Is the grip a one piece or does it come in 2 parts?
If it is one piece how do you install the grip to get past the grip screw bushings which are not flush?

Hi Chris, I happened to be there when Gregor installed his- the Rink comes apart, then you reassemble the halves on the gun (over the bushings.) As I recall it was a third screw down by the back of the palm shelf that holds the halves together.

Yes, it has two down screws that connect the palm shelf, but they are for raising and lowering the shelf to fit your grip. The big bottom side screw and the screw into the grip take it apart and put it on the gun. I believe.

Actually Ben's right - four screws that hold the two sides to the bushings of the frame and then one screw that clamps the lower part of the palm shelf. There are no screws underneath as the palm shelf of the 1911 is nonadjustable and it's not an option (or I would have done it). The grip is, to me, a great advantage as I want my 1911 (which isn't made as a target pistol) to feel as much like my Hammerli or my Walther which are both target pistols. I feel I get a very consistent grip with the Rinks and have them on all my guns.

Here's some photos of both sides.

Hope that helps.
