I was wondering what the pop up thing on my forum screen was all about and where would it show notifications at. It says  "show notification" allow or block.

Andrew, I get a email when someone answers a post but it comes in one of my email accounts, I don't know where this notification would go to. I'll just hit the block button.
  Thanks, Stan

I get that too, for every topic response (including this one).

I ONLY get the popup when I get a private message.

Cheers!

If you look at your Profile tab under notifications, you can set what you would like to be notified about.

In your Profile tab under Preferences, you can control the popups.

In your Profile tab under Topics Being Watched you can control specific threads you want to follow and be notified of new posts.  This is usually enabled by default.
