Hello lablover,

Is your wadgun a Springfield Armory?

Yes.  It’s the sight that was taken off to install the rib.  It’s in my parts bin and I want to remove the blade

Adjustable sight? Is it broken?
Just the leaf?

It’s a adjustable Springfield rear sight that comes on Range Officers.  This one is a spare that came off of my now wad gun.  I just want to remove the leaf so I can try something.  What my goal is is to see if I can widen the sight slot for a little more light. And also shorten the height of the blade as well.  Again, this is a spare that’s been collecting dust in my parts bin and is not being used for anything..so it’s a guinea pig.

usually you have to turn the screw clockwise till it stops than turn some more till it snaps off. then you have to buy the replacement screw and nut....

if memory serves me...
