98-7x at 50 bonkers target (not mine)
This weekend at 12th precinct a few of the competitors were huddled around the target 2 to my left. Turns out the shooter was plugging Xs like nobody's business.
I'm sure some here have seen 100s at 50 and even shot a few but this guy darn near cut the X ring in half. Don't know which was the 8, he said he stopped scoping after shot #4.

it must have been that one primer pocket was out of spec by .0001". Did anyone inform him he could be good if he just spent more time measuring stuff.

Did he shoot 9 shots and then scope?

The non 10 was the last shot. I recall someone had noticed the white hole in the middle and started scoping his target. He had 9 tens/x in a row....and then..... . I did not see the target I was on the line way to the left. I heard someone comment that he had a 96 and needed a paster! I guess that was spoof.

That monkey can really get to you on that last shot. That little voice that says, "I have a beautiful target. One more X and I'll have a personal best!"

That 96 (ten 10+ and one 6) was actually the FOLLOWING target, the 1st of his NMC. Nobody knew he had done this target until he got done and said "man I stopped scoping after shot #4" and we all went to see why. You can see his SF score on this target face.Allgoodhits wrote:The non 10 was the last shot. I recall someone had noticed the white hole in the middle and started scoping his target. After getting everyone's attention with this target, they started scoping his shots on the SF string of the NMC. He strung together nine straight 10s, then slipped the 6 on shot #10. But it seemed he was the only one not scoping that target.
