K38 spring sets
I acquired a 1950 6” k38 recently. Haven't had the chance to fire it yet as our ranges are still shut down. Have loaded a small mountain of my cast dewc's to alleviate some frustrated energy...however!
It has a very nice, probably factory trigger but the pull weight is pretty high. 5lbs. SA and over 12 DA. Seems like a reduced power spring set and federal primers would be a good solution. I'd like to have the option of DA.
Any recommendations on spring sets?
Thought I'd add a pic of the above mentioned. Who doesn't like to see another nice old revolver. Came with Magna's and I'm thinking of trying my hand at stippling the pictured no name grips while waiting for some old Herrett Shooting Stars to show up.

First I’d do a deep cleaning of the guts of your knowledgeable about how. Otherwise have a revolver smith do it.

Took down everything but the hammer assembly. Put it all back together again too!

Wolfe had kits that Gil Hebard sold. Larry bought up Gils stock and then we lost Larry. Maybe Hendo has some left? Tyere is a trick to reinstall the hmmm whatchamacallit trigger return slide and spring. I have to rediscover it each time I do it.
Re: K38 spring sets
There is a gizmo made specially for installing the rebound spring/slider....cheap at twice the cost.
Before I bought one the cat would camp out across the table to chase the rebound spring & the wife would remove the children to protect their ears.

I use a ball point pen. I think it works better than the specialty tool.
