Wilson Combat Reliads at 50yds
I am shooting Wilson Combat reloads. They are 200gr semi wadcutter at 770 FPS. I have only shot these at 25 yards. Will they be acceptable at 50 yards? Any idea on how many if any clicks up on a Matchdot? I do have some factory new old stock Winchester Silver tips and Federal Hydra Shock. Would those be a better choice at 50 yards?

Hello toddcfii,
I have a close friend that tested the Wilson Combat reloads and they gave him outstanding accuracy out of his Springfield Custom wadcutter pistol at fifty yards. Depending on your pistol, they may be a good choice.
Your Silvertips and Hydra Shoks are defensive loads and are way too hot for bullseye.

Thanks for the reply. WC does two versions of the SWC. Do you know which he tested? The 770 FPS or the 850 FPS? BTW I am shooting a Springfield Custom wadcutter Bullseye Gun!

Hello toddcfii,
Definitely the 770 feet per second option. It's been a while but I think he had some leading issues with the higher velocity loads and he quickly lost interest in them.
