Slide mount option Empty Slide mount option

So I’ve fallen in love with the Springfield Armory RO Elites with the Black T finish. I bought an RO Elite Operator, liked it so much I bought an RO Elite Target. I’m accepting that my eyes can’t do iron sights effectively in less than perfect conditions. So, what is the consensus on slide mounted rails? I like the look of the RRA, I think I read that Jon has one, and of course Brownell’s has the Clark etc. I’m looking for recommendations, and possibly who can mount it? Soonish, can I send just the slide? If so we can ship much easier...

I sent my Trophy Match to Springfield to have the RRA(who they endorsed at the time) mounted by the custom shop on a Monday and had it back on Friday! This was several years ago so I can't say how it will go now but they did a fantastic job for a reasonable price. The RRA is great IMO.

Jon can do the work. His rail is nice and light, and he has a version with a slot cut out for the front sight, so you wouldn't have to remove it, I believe.

Jon's rail allows the iron sights to stay on place. Makes life a bit easier. The RRA cover rail does a nice job of hiding the rather large rear cut for the springfiled sights once removed.. just depends on which way you want to go. The RRA has a dull finish, while Jon's is a very nice anodized finish if that matters to you.. both function just fine with dots
