41 Feed Issue
MY 41 is approx 5 years old. I am having and issue with the second round not feeding. The first round fires and fully ejects, the second round is not feeding. After I rack the round the last 3 chamber properly.
I have 6 mags and it is happening sporadically with 5 of them. Thought it
might be dirty mags, I took them all apart cleaned, still have the issue.
Thought it might be holding the gun with a weak wrist, used firmer grip all
fired, so tried a weak wrist and all fired.
At the end of the day Sunday all the mags were shooting OK, they did not
shoot OK last Sunday.
Looking for some thoughts. Saturday National Match is coming and it looks like I will be
calling an alibi.

Re: 41 Feed Issue
Are you putting a drop of oil on the top round in a loaded magazine?

You might try cleaning the breach face of the slide with a stiff brush and a scraper made out of a copper wire to clean the recess where the case head seats and under the extractor. There's a surprizing amount of crap that accumulates there.
Brush the barrel chamber good as well.

I will try the oil. By the way what kind of oil?
As for cleaning, I did just give it a good cleaning but not wanting to have issues at the match will give it a go with a copper brush.
Thanks for the ideas.

Any high quality light oil should do, i.e. FP-10, Rem Oil, etc.

Re: 41 Feed Issue
NO ALIBI TODAY. I put a drop on the first round as suggested and scrubbed the gun wiht a brass brush.
Should be interesting to see if and when this happens again.
Thanks for the suggestions.
Wonder if the oil caused all those misses today:lol!:
