Internet National Match Course League Week #19
This website is all about Bullseye shooting so lets have a NRA Precision Pistol 300pt National Match Course.
Follow the NRA Precision Pistol Rules.
Shoot at any official distances with official targets or scale targets to make it basement friendly for pellet guns.
Week #19 is now open. Shoot and post your score and information here on or before 6/28/2020. At that time week #19 will close and week #20 will be open.
Everyone is welcome to join in. No membership or enrollment needed. Simply post your information.
Post the following information
Name or forum name:
Date:
Distance: 50/25yard, 25yard, 50 foot, 25 foot.....
Indoor/Outdoor:
Pistol:
Caliber:

Shooting aids: (we're here because we like competition, if we need to deviate from the rules to continue to enjoy, please do so. I would rather have someone with a shake shoot two handed and enjoy, than sit out. We'll all be there sooner or later.)
Post a picture of the targets if you can. It's fun to see.
Score Slow Fire:
Score Timed Fire:
Score Rapid Fire:
I'll summarize the results and post them weekly.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Looking forward to shooting with everyone.

Re: Internet National Match Course League Week #19
I got to the range, didn't have any B16's for 25 yard slowfire, so I use a B8 and use a protractor to put B16 scoring rings on it...
Shot 22 really well, then realized I brought some lousy bowling pin loads for the 45 that are really hot and have horrible accuracy lad lead up the barrel.....only 3 of the first 5 were even on the repair center so I called it quits and went and shot plates in the pistol pit. I need to scrap those pin loads but an evening of pulling bullets isn't high on my priority list..
JimTMich
Marvel 22 conversion on Kimber frame
sightron red dot
CCI SV
94-2X (look for the b16 scoring rings in pencile on the incorrect b8 target)
99-6X
99-5X
292-13X

JKR. Those are both good scores.
I'm a bit stuck this week. Driving across the country to IN. Will see what I can do in practise on Friday at Bristol if things work out.

Re: Internet National Match Course League Week #19
radjag, you going to the precision pistol regional in Bristol? Maybe I should run down there and compete with you. I'm a little over an hour from there.
JKR, I didn't have an end date in mind , was hoping for something regular that could be enjoyed by many.
That might be a high score for me, and it sure didn't feel like it. I almost always shoot 50' indoor so not used to the 25yd outdoor targets. 25yd outdoor targets appear to have about 12% larger rings compared to 50' indoor if scaled for the same distance, could be to make up for the wind factor.?.?.

Re: Internet National Match Course League Week #19
Thanks, Jim - four days in a row of dry-firing, endlessly, with a lead filled magazine in the gun. I've been trying to deliberately move the gun quickly to someplace up and left, then get the red dot and the target to be in the proper places in my sight. So much time "aiming" doesn't leave enough for "shooting". I've been practicing trigger-pulls, but I need to change something I'm doing so I have enough time to do it properly.
I've been reading this (https://www.bullseyepistol.com/rapdfire.htm) and thinking of ways to better control the gun, maybe keep my eye on the target and drag the red dot to where it belongs. Right now I'm moving my eye, finding the dot, then moving the dot into position.
Thanks to this thread, I know I'm improving. If I leave the range for home with a smile on my face, that's all that really counts. :-)

Re: Internet National Match Course League Week #19
Shot indoors, 50 feet.
.22
Model 41
Aguilla Pistol Match
red dot sight
SF = 85
TF = 94
RF = 93
Total = 272
Tried new ammo tonight, Aguilla Pistol Match, for the National Match course, no hiccups. Shot another round with Super Extra, started having FTE's and FTF's. Model 41 can be a little finicky, and I haven't cleaned it in awhile. Mainly looking for practice ammo, and this looked decent at 50 feet. Need to conserve my CCI SV, it is getting hard to find here in So Cal.
