45 comp bushing?
Hi everyone, hope all are healthy and shooting someplace! so i have a old clark barrel bushing that he used to make up for pin shooting and action shooting. my question is since it is very tight and might have an advantage on the long line, is it legal to use in bullseye matches? thanks all stay healthy!

What rule are you using to say no?

Re: 45 comp bushing?
It’s legal for 2700 type matches, not legal for EIC.

Sorry I wasn’t clear, nra 2700 matches and NJ STATE MATCH. I think I can use it but don’t want to show up and he t disqualified on the line!
Re: 45 comp bushing?
There's no rule prohibiting it in 2700 matches, therefore, it's allowed. As Jon Eulette said, not allowed in CMP EIC matches.Rotwang wrote:mpolans wrote:No.

Not sure what rules you're running for the NJ State Match, but I'm assuming it's an NRA 2700. There might be an EIC match after that wouldn't allow it (nor red dot sights and some other stuff.)

I would be shooting 2700 3 gun. Not familiar with the EIC MATCH this would be only my 3rd outdoor match so not to sure about it.
Re: 45 comp bushing?
Civil Marksmanship Program (CMP) is a separate entity from the NRA. However, they are a governing body for precision pistol matches that are similar to NRA Precision Pistol (aka Bullseye). One type of CMP match are the Excellence in Competition (EIC) matches, and these are often fired in conjunction with NRA Bullseye matches because the courses of fire are very similar to Bullseye's National Match Course (10 Slow Fire, 10 Timed Fire, 10 Rapid Fire). There are several categories of EIC matches, but the most common associated with Bullseye matches are Service Pistol and .22. Service Pistol is similar to Bullseye's .45 or Centerfire, but restricted to guns on a particular list with very few modifications (no dot, heavier trigger pull, no fancy grips). .22 EIC are similar to the Bullseye's .22 event, just with iron sights only (fewer restrictions than Service Pistol).hotshot9 wrote:I would be shooting 2700 3 gun. In EIC competitions, you can earn points based on your finish compared to other non-Distinguished Expert shooters; if you accumulate enough points, you will be awarded the title of "Distinguished Expert," which is pretty prestigious. You can become Distinguished in Service Pistol and .22, but you can't use points in one for the other.
As an aside, NRA also offers a similar Distinguished Revolver program for centerfire revolvers with virtually no modifications.
