Thanks guys for the Ballistics help.
Thompson Center Contender 204 caliber. 3x18 Vortex power rifle scope. 1 pound trigger. 450 yard shot according to my range finder on a groundhog. Got 5 this day. Farmers hate them. They dig holes every were. Bullet is moving Around 4000 FPS with a 40 grain bullet.

Re: Thanks guys for the Ballistics help.
The straps on the pistol is to keep scope from hitting me in the nose under recoil. I plan on putting a muzzle break and have it threaded for my silencer.

Let me get this straight...smsnyder wrote:I plan on putting a muzzle break and have it threaded for my silencer....
You plan on splitting the muzzle of your pistol? Whatever floats your boat, I guess.
Vents in the barrel near the muzzle, or a baffle assembly at the muzzle, are correctly spelled.....
"BRAKE".
Or is it correct to write:
- "I hit the breaks on my car, but still drove into the intersection...";
- "Most trains use compressed air to operate the breaks on each car..."
- "He lost all his money at the poker game due to a bad brake of luck..."
- "They flipped a coin to see who would brake the pool balls..."
PS. Re: avoiding getting hit by a riflescope mounted on a Contender during recoil. Look up a "Taco Hold" sometime. This is a real shooting term (from a non-bullseye precision pistol game), and is another means of preventing "scope eye".
PPS. Nice groundhog you shot!

Re: Thanks guys for the Ballistics help.
“The English have no respect for their language, and will not teach their children to speak it. They cannot spell it because they have nothing to spell it with but an old foreign alphabet of which only the consonants – and not all of them – have any agreed speech value. Consequently no man can teach himself what it should sound like from reading it; and it is impossible for an Englishman to open his mouth without making some other Englishman despise him.”
― George Bernard Shaw, Pygmalion
One could substitute 'American' for 'English' and then square the result....since we have bastardized the language even further......
And I learned English growing up in the British Commonwealth......
