First topic message reminder :

so I started cleaning brass to lower lead dust at home. It works to clean brass, but after drying, they tarnish to a darker color. Only a cosmetic issue, but does anyone have a trick to keep the brass shinny after wet tumbling?

I preheat my oven to 200F and use the convection fan, towel dry brass goes in on a sheet pan. I let the oven get back to temperature then turn off the heat. Dry and shiney in an hour or so.

Due to high lead readings, this is the method I have chosen (wearing nitrile gloves throughout);

Decap
7l Hornady US cleaner with Lyman brass cleaner (30-50 minutes depending on quantity of cases)
remove and rinse in bucket of fresh water with Armor All Car wash and wax (I'll have to try the idea of adding jet dry)
roll in a bath towel to get loose water off
spread out on pet training pads on the ping pong table, primer pocket up
dry (usually within 24 hours)

They're not gorgeous like new, but clean to handle and enough wax to eliminate galling in crimp die. The wax keeps them from tarnishing too much.

This is an early picture when I was putting them heavy end down

Which Lemi Shine product are people using?

Lemi Shine Booster dishwasher detergent additive, Lemi Shine dishwasher rinse aid, or some other Lemi Shine product?
