Lost my excuse for not dry firing
I lucked out and got a golden handshake for leaving work and decided to retire.
Now I have plenty of time to go to the range, I likely can't justify the cost of the ammo for shooting 3 times a week.
I guess I'll have to suck it up and dry fire.

There is no reason to not practice with your 22, it is cheap to feed. I forgot though the cheap ammo is gone. Here is an idea pick-up a part-time job just to support your shooting habit and keep your guns fed. LOL

Ian happy retirement, you'll love it. You work your whole life for this moment, have fun with it. Personally I like to think of it as graduation, not retiring. I took up shooting, then found bullseye a few years later, wow what fun. Dry fire.

Congratulations! Now you can do what you like, when you like to do it!
You can reload all the big stuff, but 22 seems to have vanished - but the CMP still has it listed on their e-site.

Enjoy life Ian. You only retire once if you do it right.
I find it hard to believe that I retired 15 years ago. Now, I can't imagine how I ever found time to have a job.
These are the years that you do the things that you always said you wanted to do but didn't have time.
Now you can, so long as you can ignore that pesky pandemic. ..Jim

Airguns. You can skip the trip to the range and save even more. PCP is best, but CO2 is very good. .177 Crosman pellets. Many guns available -- I like Pyramyd Air as a supplier.
