Re: NMC League Week 33
JKR - very good shooting with the 45 - well done. I doubt that I can beat that. So I'm not going to try!
But instead I shall brag/showoff these two cards shot with my SP22-6" and Eley Bullseye Pistol-X at 50 yards Slow Fire. The first was in practise on Thursday and the second in the Oregon State Match yesterday. First times I've ever done a clean 100 in slow fire at 50 yards.

Re: NMC League Week 33
Depelletier. Thanks for the kind words. Every now and then I’ll run out a good 45 score. This one is way above my average. I’m a long way from high master!
Radjag. Splendid job on those slow fires! I’ve done it twice in the time I’ve been shooting pistol. Unfortunately both were in training. How did the rest of your match go? A clean in slow fire should open the door to a very high score.
X count? I’ll take a 100-0 anyday!

Re: NMC League Week 33
Nice shooting, Roy, and JKR!
I only got part of it done due to the rain setting in.
I have to use the rifle range to shoot at 50 (you get some funny looks when you dig out a pistol...) and then move back to the pistol range for 25 so I hadn't done that yet until yesterday.
50 yard target shot cold with a Marvel.
The rain began before I could get set up at the 25 yard Bullseye range for sustained fire targets...

That 97-1 is a darn solid slow fire score. Nice shooting! I’m hoping to soon see a score shot with the beautiful 45 you’ve built.

Re: NMC League Week 33
I shot one target with the new gun right after the above target and scored a 93 with a couple of X's, but more importantly, every shot was dead on call! First time I tried 50 yards with .45 and have very little experience with .45, but that's about to change!
I also read every post in the "Fundamentals" section which is constantly helping improve my shooting.
Thanks!

OK, so what do you call the match at 50 feet?

The match at 50 Feet is formally called a Gallery Course. The strings of fire are the same as in NMC.

You can fire the same course of fire at 50ft, you just need to use the correct targets. A 50ft slowfire target is a B-2, the 50ft timed and rapid target is a B-3. The NRA courses of fire can be found in rule 7 in the NRA rulebook.

Re: NMC League Week 33
Thanks guys... I've been shooting in an indoor league since 2004, I guess I never gave it much thought as to what I was shooting.
I downloaded the NRA Rule book, so now I know better.

Your slow fire shows what you can do.
You just need to relax for the timed and rapid.
