With out adding things someone heard some one else say. Why not buy a Cabot 1911? They have a few models under 4k. A full custom build by any of the respected smiths on this forum will cost the same or more. They offer accuracy promises and custom ordering. Not looking for Chevy vs Ford argument. I think it is really cool that they make there parts in house.
