S&W 41.....

Bought this one brand new aboout 5 years years ago.  A little off center don't you think?  It shot good groups which I don't understand how but, I returned it.  You can also see a radius scratch in the pics.  I am hopeful the new one I just ordered won't be this bad.

What's off center about it?

If you look at the top picture the rifling is very pronounced. The second picture shows the barrel turned 180 degrees and there is no rifling.  It amazed me that it shot a good group like that.  I will say that I only shoot groups at 50 ft. because my league is 50ft.  Maybe at 50 yards it wouldn't be on paper.

Ah, OK. That is weird. Is it like that the full length of the bore, or just at the muzzle?

It's  been quite awhile since I had that gun so I don't  remember.  It was weird.   I was shooting my friend's  41 today.  I first shot a new Gold Cup, the one I was asking about  in a previous  post.  When I shot his gun the trigger  surprised me the first couple  of shots. It's an older 41 and has a very nice trigger.
