Ruger 22/45 recoil spring
A 22/45 I picked up is a little picky on ammo. It seems to like to short cycle after getting just a little bit dirty. By the end of a box of 50 CCI I am racking each round. The slide comes back enough to cook but not enough to strip a round. Volquartsen makes a recoil rod with replaceable springs in 3 weights. Am I going down the right path?

Re: Ruger 22/45 recoil spring
I have a similar problem with a MKIV, even installed a Majestic Arms trigger kit. I did purchase the VQ adjustable recoil spring kit and have the same issues with the standard weight spring. When equipped with the lighter spring it fails to go back into battery...

I went ahead and ordered earlier today, figured it's worth a try. Not going back into battery is obviously a problem. It has a VQ trigger in it and no mag disconnect.
