I found the print plans for new parts for the SP 22 magazines so they will now hold 6 rounds or 5 rounds plus a dummy. This could help those concerned with pulling the trigger on an empty during Timed or Rapid fire. The parts fit well and after some testing, they seem just as reliable..

Just in case someone is interested, a past member we lost some years ago designed a modification to lock the slide (partially) back after the last round, rather than letting it fully go back into battery.  The description of his modification is available here:

Bear in mind that loading six rounds is against the rules.

Marine Corps tested this rule when I was at Camp Perry in 1979.

The idea was to ensure positive feeding of 5 rounds of hard ball with an empty case at the bottom.

The Referee was not amused.

Although, it's only illegal if you get caught...

When you say print parts.....3d print files?  I’ve seen them but have not tested.  I just remember to count
