Vortex crossfire?
Has anyone tried the Vortex Crossfire for bullseye slide mounted on a 45? The price point is very appealing!
Vortex has assured me it can withstand the pounding of 45acp and slide mount. But warned me it is heavier than the Aimpoint and could impact function.
Thoughts?

They work great on a 1911. I have one on my Gold Cup.. I was looking at them again just yesterday thinking about getting another one. YMMV

I just got a Primary Arms Gen 2 . I have not used it yet but it looks amazing, better than a Sig Romeo 5.

Re: Vortex crossfire?
My first PA lasted well over 25000 rounds on 3 guns. I bought it because I figured the dot and glass was almost as good as an Aim Point and I could buy 3 for the price of an AIM Point.
This one is really nice they are out of stock now but it is way better than a Romeo 5 which I am using now married to a Kodiak Base.

Re: Vortex crossfire?
I have a friend that has shot one on his 1911/45 for several years with no problems. Convinced me to buy a couple for some use on .22 and on a Model 52 with no issues. I have H2s for my .45s but if I needed to replace one I would not hesitate to try a crossfire. Works well with the Kodiak base and Totts or Shue shades as well or I now use the shades from Photoescape on new dots
