DR match limit per year?
I know that a non-Distinguished CMP EIC shooter is limited to the number of matches per calendar year - see Rules extract below. What about NRA Distinguished Revolver?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
9.2.2 EIC Match Eligibility for Non-Distinguished Civilians
The number of EIC matches in which Non-Distinguished Civilians may
compete for EIC points is limited. In any calendar year, Non-Distinguished
Civilians, in either rifle or pistol, may compete in:
a) One National Trophy Individual Match.
b) A maximum of five (5) CMP-sanctioned Service Pistol EIC matches,
except that in years when there is no National Trophy Individual Match, a
maximum of six (6) CMP-sanctioned EIC matches may be fired. The
scores of any competitor who fires in more than five (5) EIC matches in
one calendar year, except as authorized in this rule, will not be counted
in determining EIC credit points.
c) A service-sponsored EIC match may be fired and counted in lieu of one
of the five (5) CMP-sanctioned EIC matches, if civilian entries are
accepted in that match. Civilian shooters who fire in military EIC matches
will be credited with earning EIC points in accordance with Rule 9.2.6 if
they place in the top 10 percent of all Non-Distinguished military and
civilian shooters in that match.
d) Civilian or service shooters who do not have any EIC credit points in that
event, also may enter and compete in Special EIC Matches sponsored
by the CMP, or in Special EIC Matches sponsored by a branch of the
Armed Services, where a maximum of four EIC credit points may be
earned. Civilian military academy cadets who earn four EIC credit points
in Special Service (Combat) EIC Matches will be credited with those
points. These special introductory EIC matches do not count as one of
the five (5) regular CMP-sanctioned EIC matches specified above.
9.2.3 EIC Match Eligibility for Distinguished Shooters
Distinguished shooters may compete for CMP Place Medals (Rule 8.3.10) and
CMP Achievement Pins (Rule 3.11.3) in as many EIC matches as they wish. If
range capacity is limited, preference for entries in CMP-sanctioned EIC
matches other than the National Trophy Individual Matches must be given to
Non-Distinguished competitors.

Re: DR match limit per year?
Don’t think there is a limit to the number of DR matches annually. Considering one can only shoot DR in conjunction with State, Regional or National championships, it may be self limiting for most.

What happens if you go to an EIC match where it is later found that they do not have enough shooters to make up a leg? I'm guessing this is less than five shooters? Will this count towards your five match maximum in a calendar year aside from what happened last year with no Perry, and NTI?

Re: DR match limit per year?
You need six non-distinguished to give out one leg in an EIC match and five non-distinguished to give out a leg in the DR match. It's always confusing since the NRA decided on a different number of shooters for leg points breaks. If they send the scores in, the match counts.wallyccspd wrote:What happens if you go to an EIC match where it is later found that they do not have enough shooters to make up a leg? Worst case, you get your money back but it still cost ammo.
Good practice though...
