Rule Question Empty Rule Question

Post by lilski Tue May 28, 2013 12:12 pm

We were talking the other day about shooting left handed for slow fire and right handed for timed and rapid fire. Can you do this? I looked in the rule book and have found nothing that says you can't. I had shoulder problems a few years back and that was the only way I could shoot. My right shoulder would get tired fast and I would shake bad. So I shot left handed in slow and right in timed and rapid. I just never ask if I was allowed.

Rule Question Empty Re: Rule Question

Post by Founder Tue May 28, 2013 1:55 pm

This is the first time I have see this asked. There is nothing stated about which hand you must shoot with and nothing saying you cannot change hands during a match.

Rules are one hand unsupported, keep it simple. I switched shooting hands for a season a couple years ago while recovering from an injury and I could find nothing stating you cannot change up during a match. I have heard stories of some high masters doing this just to mess with their opponents. Not sure if it is true, but it would be funny!

As long as it's one hand at a time!

Rule Question Empty Right or Left handed switch during the match

Post by DRNurse1 Thu Jun 06, 2013 8:33 pm

LOL The guy next to me at Perry in 2011 did that! It was the preliminary match so I am not sure if he did it during the match. No comment from the referees at the time, but I do not know if the specific question was put to them.
