JT21 Staples - Where to get best deal?

After walking through the home improvement center, I noticed my beloved JT21 staples went up a dollar per pack. Is there a mail order or other sort of place that I can pick up a case of these, while hopefully driving down the price a bit?

Wallyworld $2.64 box. Harbor Freight 1.99 for their questionable quality.

Did you by chance check the price on everything else in that store ?

I prefer the Genuine Arrow JT21.

Usually searching eBay brings up a plentiful offering.

I did try the off brands and they do not work as well.

The Homeless Despot lists then for $4 per thousand.  With all the other costs associated with this sport I think it’s the least of my concerns.

Whats so special about the JT21 Staples and why are they better then the good old T-50's?

The staplers are lighter and easier to squeeze. Plus some ranges don't allow T50 due to the larger mess and shorter life of the backers.

The T-50s staplers are hard to use. Real hard springs, heavy. More for heavy duty construction uses IMHO based on the T-50 stapler I had.

We're taking about the price of staples??? In an Era of powder/priner/ammo shortages... this really falls into the "first world problens" catigory...

Well since it was asked - if you have a “Restore” near you, I usually find a pack or two there for $.25 or so.  I like the OEM Arrow brand staples because they work better so I’ll pass on any off brands.  Restore is like a goodwill store but with building materials and tools.  It’s a fundraising arm for habitat for humanity.  I don’t go there looking for anything in particular (especially staples) but you never know what you’ll find.
