As of 9:00 tonight Pacific time tonight, Midway still has them.  Limit one brick.  Maybe another pallet arrived today.

Not that long ago, Midway had some Federal Large Pistol Primers.  The price was about the same as the CCIs.  I'm wondering whether we are looking at, or near, the "new normal" for primer pricing.  I hope not, but don't plan to hold out for the prices of yore.  Given today's supply side issues, the real possibility of a return to gas shortages, and with long term inflation on the horizon, these CCI primers may turn out to be a bargain.  

I lived through Great Inflation (mid 60s to early 80s) and gas shortages with long gas lines in the 70s.  I thought those times were in the rear view mirror.  I guess not.  18% mortgage rates anyone?  They reached a high of 18.45% in 1981.

Got one ordered.

When Obama was president and we went through the ammo/primer shortage, many if us thought the same thing...then during trump years we were buying primers for 150 a case and mid grade 22 ammo for 350 a case pretty regularly with stock on shelves... elections have consiquences... will be interesting (terrifying) to see how this one turns out...

Over the last several months I have been able to buy primers at near normal prices at my local Sportmans warehouse.   Limit used to be 300 per person, now back up to a thousand.  CCI small pistol were 41 a thousand plus tax so 44 total.  Truck usually comes in Thursday and they have them out by Friday afternoon. Sometimes they are being shipped via UPS and are not on the truck.  Just happy they are not gouging.
