NEW GUY to BE!
I am a Distinguished Rifleman, and the years have taken their toll on my old eyes for rifle competition.
Last year I decided to turn my attention to BE, and I am very happy to have done so. BUT it has been a rather steep learning curve for me. Thanks to the advice, council, and encouragement from many, my scores are steadily improving.
Now I am ready to take the plunge into the "BIG TIME" (to me), Canton and Nationals. I have cut things pretty close financially, as many of us have. I am looking to share some sort of accommodation during the Canton Matches. Lodging cost might be the final thing that would sink my plans for the "BIG TIME".
I have never been to any large pistol matches and would like to have someone "friend me" about what-is-what. I only recently found out what a scoring overlay is for.
Thanks, Andy

Andy, A lot of people camp at Canton. You dont need a tent, you can sleep on the indoor range. You might be able to get a space in the barracks still at Perry. I have a hotel room both places, but am not looking for a roomate. Kate

I have the Perry portion covered thanks to a service rifle friend. I was unaware of the indoor range possibility. Just bring a cot, etc.?
Thanks, Andy

Yep. If you need more information, contact Tom Brunt. Actually the facilities for camping at Canton are quite a bit better in many respects than they are at Perry. They have showers, and nice bathrooms, and they have hot meals available on site, starting Thursday nite. A lot of people, say Canton is the better match. Going to Perry is...because it is Perry.
I will be leaving for Canton tomorrow, so good luck. See you there. Kate
