First topic message reminder :

I guess this is a popular comparison between these 2 bullseye pistols. I shoot my 41 frequently - almost weekly but had never tried the 208 before. Heard from many posts that the 208 is the most accurate bullseye .22 pistol out there.
Parts are relatively easy to find for the 41 ( Numrich gun parts ) but I am concern that if you ever need to replace any parts of the Hammerli it will be an issue of availability. The 2nd concern is cost. The 208's magazine is around $150 if you could find one. For the S&W M41 magazines are quite easy to find and at around $45 is pretty reasonable.
Question: Is it worthwhile chasing down a nice Hammerli 208? Smile Question

My 41 was POS. too but a trip to Ten Ring for a Hammerli liner it is very accurate. Resting on sand bags a sub 1 inch group at 50Yds.  with cci sv. and 1.5 with SK pistol match and the same with Lapua center X but it has a Bentz chamber so I didn't think it would shoot Lapua. Now it's headed back to Alex to fix the trigger ..... lol

trigger job done and now I tested Eley 10X, SK pistol match, CCI sv and Aguila sv. All shot under a. half an inch for 10 shots rested from a sand bag at 25 yds. It was very windy and decided not to go to 50 yds. the only problem was with SK pistol once in 60 rounds total. Alex turned this into a very competitive pistol...... Jim
