38 lead HBWC in Canada???
Hello. I’m new to this forum and getting back into target shooting. I recently acquire a S&W 52-1 and a 14-3, and working on the basics of bullseye shooting. Now I need to refresh my supply of swagged lead HBWC bullets (for reloading) but can’t find a supplier in Ontario Canada. Any help from fellow local shooters is greatly appreciated. Thanks Greg.

Greetings,
Campro make a plated HBWC.

https://www.campro.ca/index.php?id=1021&produit=.357%20/%209.068%20-%20148%20HBWC%20FCP
I, personally, am not a fan of plated bullets. Perhaps you will have greater success.
Swage has only one "g".
Cheers,
Dave

Hi Gm210,
I live in Québec and am new to this forum too. A member of this forum named Desben, who's from Ontario, once wrote about Canadian BDX, a bullet maker in Alberta who makes a good quality HBWC bullet. http://canadianbdx.com/bdx/index.html
I never tried these but you could try to get some from them.
There's also X-Reload in Québec: https://x-reload.com/ They usually have some Hornady's in stock. Good luck !

Re: 38 lead HBWC in Canada???
Thanks guys. I use Campro for 9mm but don’t want to use the plated 38s in the Model 52. I also reached out to BDX last spring but they weren’t running the HBWC at the time. I’ll try again if unsuccessful with finding a source in Ontario. I guess another option would be to order from the USA but wonder what shipping will cost. I would start with an order for 5000. Even a retailer with some in stock would be great. I’ll take any and all suggestions into consideration. Have a great weekend. Greg

I’ve used plated WC in my 52. Other than they don’t shoot that well, there’s no issue with them.

Yes, BDX is what you want! Very nice bullet. I haven't ordered from him in a few years as I mostly switched to 9mm and the range was closed for covid, I hope he's still selling. He's in Alberta but would ship a box of 2500 to Ottawa for a reasonable fee.
Also try LAR Arms. In Ontario, and I bought BDX from them before. https://www.lararms.com/bullets.html
Higginson powders sells Hornady bullets.
If you are only shooting 20 yards or 25m, you can get good results with cast bullets. I get mine from Wolf in Kingston; very nice product. He sizes per your spec, so you can get them small for your 52.
Maybe I can help you out to get started; my wife would surely appreciate if I shipped out some of my stash.

Re: 38 lead HBWC in Canada???
I have tired the cast 38 DBWC from a commercial supplier, but can’t get them to group well compared to my HBWCs. Funny that the same commercial supplier’s cast 45 - 200 gr SWCs shoot great at 25 yards from my Gold Cup. I’ve got about 2500 loaded 38 HBWCs which should get me through the next few months and I’m going to reach out again to BDX, but still interested if I can find some locally.
Desben, I’ll PM you.
Thanks

When I was shooting PPC, all I used were BDX HBWC's with diamond cote.
Our group of 6 would order in the neighbourhood of 80000 bullets twice a year.
