Need a Pistolsmith at Camp Perry?
This will be my first time at Camp Perry and my Marvel on a Springfield RO is having a problem and my Pistolsmith is not available. I seem to remember folks saying there are some at Perry. Does anyone know of any and their telephone numbers so I can contact in advance to set something up. Without the gun, I wouldn't be able to fully shoot. Thanks for any help...

Marvel Precision will be there. I have worked with them to troubleshoot a problem I was having--and they have parts.
What is the problem you are having?

Travis from FCW guns will be there also. He did some trigger work for me last year and is again this year. Real nice guy. You can email him. Google FCW guns.

I posted this on another forum, but I saw the inquiry here also..
Joey Chambers will be there in a private fifth wheel style trailer, parked in the RV lot.. KC Crawford is working out of the Marine Corp truck. Greg Derr will be there, but he is competing, and his time may be limited. All the military trucks are usually more than willing to lend a hand...

Sounds like you just need to describe the problem better and we may be able to help you fix it. All the above people (except Marvel precision) are right now at Canton. Come join the fun at the Regional I would add Dave Salyers name to the list of competent gunsmiths at Canton.

Thanks to all...
Thank you everyone for replying. Basically, after firing, the trigger goes to 1/2 cock. Also, I just tested trigger weight and it's a tad too light. I posted this same question on another Forum as well and also received good suggestions as to Pistolsmiths, including checking with the Army Marksmanship Unit. So, I'm not as concerned as I had been and feel I'll find someone to fix it. I was scheduled to go to Canton, but something came up at last minute, so will have to wait till next year. Thanks again everyone, glad I've taken this sport up, even if I waited till I was 70 to do so.

Is this a new problem for this marvel or has it always done that since the conversion?
Is the fired brass ejected?
Does the next round get fed into the chamber?

Sounds to me like you need to tweak the center leaf spring to give a little more tension.
Without seeing the pistol I am just going by the symptom you described.
Hope this helps.

Anytime, the trigger system fails, a complete examination of parts and the interface of those parts should be conducted to determine the cause..

Follow-up
This is a follow-up to recent comments. After ejection, a round chambers and hammer goes to 1/2 cock regardless of firing sequence (i.e., rounds shot), magazine or ammo used. Appears to be a Springfield RO issue and not the Marvel. I've received great suggestions and will stop by the AMU or one of the Pistolsmiths there. Being a shooting and Perry "newbie," I didn't know if there would be Pistolsmiths there who might be available to fix the problem. Thanks again for help, my mind is relieved, and am, again, looking forward to the "Perry Adventure."
