Hammerli 208 disassembly instructions Empty Hammerli 208 disassembly instructions

Hi, I recently bought a new to me Hammerli 208. Its in decent condition, but I would like to give it a thorough cleaning as well as replace all the springs.

Are there disassembly instructions anywhere? I've managed to field strip it but I don't see how to get to the recoil spring and sear spring without punching out pins. Would like to read some directions before doing so.

Does anyone have a link to how these are disassembled? Thank you.

I’m not aware of a disassembly guide. Older 208 required spreading the barrel and receiver to remove guide rod. Guide rod spring holds ejector in place. Pull the magazine catch to remove mainspring. If your brave after that get your punches out.

You might take a look at this, starting at about page 7

Needless to say, 208/215 isn't the most friendliest pistol when it comes to disassembly.  This video gives enough for general cleaning, - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7lLmXqGFSA

If you need to go deeper.......... send it to Jon.

Thanks, those instructions help a lot. I did watch the video to figure out how to field strip it.

I think mine is indeed an older version 73 on the side of receiver. Looking at instructions posted below there appears to be a slot to remove guide rod but I don't see it on mine. How would I go about spreading barrel and receiver?

Thank you.
