Question about a gun I won

Hello fellow shooters


I recently won from a calendar drawing a Springfield hellcat. My question to anybody that has experience with this model gun.  I was at the range today trying it out, and the trigger is horrible I measured it weighs in about 6 1/2 pound.  lots of travel which is expected for that type of Striker fire gun.
Does anyone have this particular handgun, and is there another aftermarket trigger that someone would recommend would work well in that gun.

I don’t have a Hellcat but I have a Springfield XDm 5.25 model that I installed a kit from Powder River.  That one did lower the weight a little but it made it crisp and smooth compared to the original which I found more noticeable.  It also shortened the pull a little.  My kit was a drop in style so was pretty easy to change out. I saw that Powder River has a kit for the Hellcat too but I didn’t look at all of their offerings.

I have no experience with the Springfield XD or Hellcat, but I have a lot of experience with what Langdon does with the double action on a Beretta 92, and it is magical.
