Tactical Solutions 1911 .22LR conversion unit.
Where can I get springs for Tactical Solutions conversion unit? What ammunition was it made for? It seems like mine works best with high velocity ammunition . I assume by putting lighter recoil spring , I will be able to shoot standard velocity ammunition. (?)

Hi. Cannot help you with where, but both Tac Sol and Advantage Arms come from factory set up for HV and SV load, which basically means HV only. To run SV you need one, two or combination of: lighter mainspring closer to 15lb, and either SV recoil spring or cut down HV spring (either worked with my AA, but it prefers SV spring slightly cut and 15lb mainspring to run reliably with SV ammo).

When I bought my Marvel unit from Bob Marvel at Perry 15yrs ago I believe he told me he used the same recoil spring that is used in a S&W M41 but not sure about that since we talked about lots of things that day.

I have a Jarvis unit. Jarvis sold the rights to this unit to Tactical Solutions back years ago. Reduced recoil springs for a Browning 1935 (hi power) is what I use for it. The 8 lb is what worked for me and I may have cut 1/2 a coil or two off it. You will also need to address your hammer spring, I am using a 18 lb spring. Shoots decent but of course not as well as either my Kart or my 41.

I might add that I haven't tried HV in mine since I don't own any and don't intend to.

High velocity but not hyper velocity. If SV functions that’s fine too per FAQ. Yes I got curious and was idle for a few minutes.

I don't think Tactical Solutions even makes the .22lr unit for a 1911 anymore and when I called to inquire about some spare parts to have on hand, it seemed they decided not to support their past production.
Anyway, just for fun, here are a couple Ransom Rest target the Jarvis (Tactical Solutions) shot with CCI and the old blue box Eley pistol match.
