Star Powder Reservoir Emptying Work Around
It hit me that emptying the powder from a Star press would be easy, no parts removal required if, as my press is, the press is mounted on an elevated box made of 3/4” plywood. Just add a hinge(s) to one side so the whole top — press attached — can flip over a little past 90 degrees. On the opposite side of the top, add a latch to keep the top locked in place.
Unlatch, remove any primers, remove powder tube lid, place a receptacle to the side, and flip the top over to empty powder into the receptacle.
