Dillon Dies
I talked to sales person at dillon yesterday. Dillon dies are on back order for at least 8 months due to material shortage of the carbide die.

Re: Dillon Dies
I recently received a model airplane that was on backorder for 14 months.
It's the "new normal".

I have one guy here, who has been waiting for almost two years for a set of 9mm dies from Dillon.

Re: Dillon Dies
Why is it only Dillon that is having problems getting carbide? Products are available if made in-house.
Redding, RCBS, Hornady, and Lee don't seem to have any issues.
Does Dillon only assemble their products?

Re: Dillon Dies
I received a notice a couple days ago that a package shipped from Dillon. I believe it's a carbide 10mm sizing die I ordered over a year ago. Unfortunately their site will not let me reset my password to confirm what actually shipped. I gave up on whatever is coming a long time ago.

Re: Dillon Dies
That’s something I don’t understand either, other than them saying something about the quality of the carbide they used not being available. I do like their radiused/recessed sizing die. I don’t know of anyone with that feature or at least not in the price range. I have been using the FW Arms primer popper die then an RCBS carbide die with the depriming assembly removed on a Dillon 550 or 650. So far that’s worked okay.Wes Lorenz wrote:Why is it only Dillon that is having problems getting carbide? Products are available if made in-house.
