Bringing my scores up every week

We had a "Fun Shoot" this week, Big targets (75') at close range (50') using centerfire pistols. While I don't have a fancy dedicated centerfire target pistol, I make do with my 9mm Canik. Loving this new (to me) sport. I look forward to it all week. Oh no I may be hooked.

What the heck is that thing on the side of your pistol?

It is a thumb rest for left hand when shooting two handed/combat style.
Provides additional support.

It is kind of an informal Bullseye league, There are 75% of us that shoot two handed and the scores are kept separate from the one handers. I know it is not how sanctioned matches are held but it keeps our group coming every week and is growing. I'm thinking of inventing a gyroscopic stabilizer. do you think the other competitors will notice the whirr as it spools up.
